Hello, and welcome to my web page, I am Councillor Andrew Garner a Liberal Democrat Focus Team councillor and one of three councillors representing Sedgley Ward.

Sedgley ward is made up of much of the Southern part of Prestwich – stretching from Middleton Road in the East, right over both Bury Old Road and Bury New Road to Sedgley Park in the West, together with the Heywood Road and Whittaker Lane areas northwards towards the Metrolink Line.

I have lived in Prestwich all my life and have represented Sedgley ward since 2004. 

I am Deputy Leader of the Liberal Democrat Group on Bury Council.

I am a member of the following committees:

I represent the Council on the Greater Manchester Passenger Transport Authority and the Board of Bury Metro Deaf Society.

I support a wide variety of local organisations and groups. This includes local residents associations and community groups and I am a governor of two local primary schools: Park View Primary and Sedgley Park Primary. I am Chair of Bury Liberal Democrats and Vice-Chair of the Regional North West Liberal Democrats.

In my spare time I enjoy reading and travel.
